Erin R. Medlicott applied to be a Mission Specialist candidate in the late
1970s, when NASA began recruiting women into the astronaut program. She
published her first magazine article in OMNI magazine in 1994, and later
edited the Space Frontier Foundation's quarterly newsletter, "Space Front."
A resident of Fort Lee, NJ, Ms Medlicott has a Master of Science degree in
publishing from NYU, and is currently employed at a national corporation's
newspaper division in New York City. She dedicated her book Return to the Moon to her mom and
dad.
